Philip Bloom was at IBC 2011 and saw the prototype of an adapter that allows the use of Canon EF lenses with the F3, FS100 and AF100. The trick is being able to adjust the electronic iris in an EF lens.
The prototype control box is just a knob and display and can control the iris in 1/8th stop increments. The cable that connects to the adapter is hard wired because there isn't room for a lemo in the adapter.
Another box to hang somewhere but it works. Now, how much will it cost?
